MCLEAN, VA -- Conrad Hotels & Resorts, part ofHilton's (NYSE: HLT) luxury portfolio, has always delivered an inspired stay to guests using innovative technology and service. Since its inception, the Conrad brand has catered to the global guest with groundbreaking offerings such as Conrad Concierge – the first service-enabled technology to be a part of hotel management systems across a brand's portfolio. In its commitment to deliver tech-forward solutions that enhance the guest experience, Conrad is hosting an Intel Capital Technology Day at its Innovation Gallery in McLean, where six startups will pitch the Conrad leadership team on products that offer frictionless, personalized, data-driven and culturally immersive experiences for the Conrad guest.

"Conrad Hotels & Resorts prides itself on being a leader in the hospitality industry, especially when it comes to integrating advanced technology into our properties," said John T. A. Vanderslice, global head of luxury and lifestyle brands, Hilton. "We are looking forward to continuing this trajectory through ourcollaboration with Intel and the results that this pitch day will produce."

The Intel Capital Technology Day will feature six innovative tech startups including:

  • Chargifi – A global, wireless charging network – bringing power to people, where and when they need it most, and providing businesses with an opportunity to attract and engage with customers.
  • Embr Labs – A sleek and discreet wearable that solves the dilemma of "too hot" & "too cold" by delivering personalized thermal comfort.
  • Lisnr – An ultrasonic audio technology — a communication protocol that uses inaudible sound, called Smart Tones™, to transmit information.
  • Reflektion– Software that understands and influences the intent of each customer in real time to deliver individualized content across touchpoints that matter most.
  • Savioke– Technology to revolutionize the service industry, including hotels, elder care, hospitals, restaurants and offices.
  • Sprinklr – A platform designed to reach, engage and listen to customers across any social channel to deliver better experiences—at scale.

"Intel Capital companies are using data to transform industries, and we are thrilled to work with Conrad Hotels & Resorts to showcase these exciting innovations," said Tami Hutchinson, managing director of Portfolio Management at Intel Capital. "These six companies can help Hilton reinvent hospitality."

Conrad Hotels & Resorts was the first hospitality brand to put personalized luxury at guests' fingertips with the introduction of Conrad Concierge, a function of the Hilton Honors mobile application, which recently reached one million interactions and operates in 12 languages. This unique software platform allows travelers globally to interact and request amenities using their personal devices. Designed with the smart luxury traveler in mind, Conrad Concierge gives guests the freedom to customize stay details before and during their trip.

Conrad Hotels & Resorts continues to remain at the forefront of the intersection between luxury hospitality and cutting-edge technology, most notably through a recent Hospitality Hackathon held at Cornell University and the Intel Capital Technology Day that takes place today.

"We understand that to find the best technologies and solutions that will meet the needs of our tech-savvy travelers, Conrad Hotels & Resorts must explore solutions outside of the traditional hospitality space," said Vanderslice. "That's why we've engaged both college students and tech startups. By looking outside of our industry for ideas, we're leveraging an unconventional approach to enhance the experience for our luxury guests."
