Hilton Paris Opera will debut in January 2015 following the completion of an extensive $50 million restoration and enhancement program. Formerly known as the Concorde Paris Opera, the 268-room Hilton Paris Opera will offer travellers a modern blend of history and glamour, with sleek styling in celebration of the 125-year legacy of this classic Parisian hotel.

Sofia Vandaele has been appointed General Manager of the hotel. She joined from a similar position at the London NYC hotel in New York. Her previous experience includes roles with W Hotels in New York, the Sheraton Belgravia in London, and with Starwood Hotels in Brussels.

"The transformation of this property over the past year has been truly magnificent," said Vandaele. "We have been respectful of the building's fabulous historic features while updating it with all of the latest technology and design upgrades today's traveler expects. Combined with a stellar location in the heart of Paris and the service for which Hilton is renowned, Hilton Paris Opera will offer travelers a stylish setting from which to explore the world's most romantic of cities."

GUEST ROOMS

Originally designed by architect Juste Lisch to accommodate visitors flocking to the 1889 Exposition Universelle, Hilton Paris Opera tapped internationally acclaimed design firm Richmond for the revitalization. Inspired by Paris's elegant charm and refined style, the fresh design scheme pays homage to the hotel's storied history while providing an updated aesthetic for today's traveler. Restored and reinvigorated for today's traveller, the 268 rooms including 29 Suites will feature a bold yet calming colour scheme giving each room an attractive quality while delicate brass detailing enriches the guest experience. Standout design elements include a magnificent entrance hall adorned with frescoes, Corinthian colonnades, and magnificent original balustrades featuring chandeliers set with crystals and mosaic flooring. All rooms offer central air conditioning and complimentary wi-fi.

SUITES

Highlights of Hilton Paris Opera's 29 suites include the elegantly appointed 900 square-foot Maria Callas Suite. Besides a spacious living room with the high ceilings typical for a Parisian Haussmann building, this suite features a master bedroom with one king bed, and a second bedroom with twin beds, both with private bathrooms designed with a large polished stone vanity and spacious walk-in shower.

Other suite highlights are the hotel's four light-filled Rotonde suites located on both sides of the building, characterized by the round exterior walls opening up to private French balconies.

Hilton Paris Opera also offers ten one-bedroom suites as well as 14 junior suites, and all suite guests receive in-room Nespresso coffee makers, full-size bath amenities and enhanced turndown services. Access to the Executive Lounge is included offering complimentary breakfast and afternoon bites & drinks.

LOBBY, DINING AND MEETING SPACES

The central archway between the two reception desks in the entrance lobby opens through to the highly decorative 'Le Grand Salon,' the heart of the hotel. The formality of the original architecture with soaring 46-foot high ceilings and hand-painted frescos is brought up to date with the large feature brass bar, contemporary high tables and mix of contemporary and vintage furniture. Open from early mornings till late evenings, Le Grand Salon is the perfect hotspot for both informal business meetings, light meals and evening cocktails.

Off of the building's grand front entrance is the intimate Le Petit Bar. Suspended from the tinted mirror, coffered ceiling are delicate rings of oval spheres that cast intricate shadows throughout the room. Cocktail tables and comfortable yet elegant chairs complete the tone and ambience of this relaxed social space.

Even the meeting and conference facilities at Hilton Paris Opera have a glamorous air, as seen in the Salon Baccarat, a large function space where all finishes and decoration exude elegance while vintage Baccarat crystal chandeliers light up the room. Six other, newly refurbished meeting rooms are located on the Entresol and Mezzanine Levels, all with top-of-the-line audio-visual technology. The breakfast lounge is also located on this floor, in the opposite wing with spaces that flow and wrap around the corner of the building.

Also as part of the renovation, Hilton Paris Opera has added an Executive Lounge and state-of-the art fitness centre.

LOCATION

Benefiting from an inspiring location, the hotel is situated in the heart of the city's Right Bank district and just a stone's throw from the Champs-Elysées, Opéra Square and Rue de la Paix. Guests can discover the mystery and marvel of Opéra Garnier, explore the beautiful delicatessen on Place de la Madeleine or enjoy a French boutique shopping experience at the Galeries Lafayette and Le Printemps Haussmann.

For culture connoisseurs many museums are within walking distance, so travellers may linger at the Musée Fragonard, which epitomises French luxury, or stroll along the aisles of Musée de la Vie Romantique - a source of inspiration for great artists and writers such as Chopin, Georges Sand and Delacroix.

The hotel is located within close proximity to Saint-Lazare Railway Station and approximately 17 miles from Charles de Gaulle Airport; 14 miles from Paris Orly Airport; and five miles from the La Défense business district.
