URBN hotels

Cachet Hotel Group (CHG), announces the completion of renovations to Shanghai's award-winning eco-boutique hotel, URBN Hotel. The new look and vision reflect URBN's brand pillars of differentiated design, comfort and high performing sustainability.

Under the creative direction of CHG's celebrity fashion designer, Jay Godfrey, the new interiors provide a modernist zen experience for hotel guests. A soothing neutral color palette has been adopted throughout the hotel, which also enhances the natural beauty of the recycled and reclaimed wood materials. All the guest rooms have been upgraded with new Mayair Technology air purification systems to ensure clean, purified air for hotel guests. Reflecting URBN's commitment to fitness and health, the property also now features a brand new fitness center called URBN fit.

Travelers will find URBN Hotel's new guestrooms more convenient for work, sleep and relaxation. Re-designed guest rooms will feature URBN's signature Renewal Bed, made from 100% natural materials, including cactus fiber, seaweed and coconut fiber. The Renewal Bed features a four-layer bed system and 600-thread count Egyptian cotton sheet, ensuring a rich, restful and tranquil sleep experience. Light fixtures with eco-friendly origins are adopted to provide sleek, and sensual lines. The use of rich silks and luscious velvets in the hotel's draperies and upholstery lends a minimalist yet elegant design.

The renovated URBN Shanghai will feature a signature Jay Godfrey designer suite. This 40 square meter suite features black lacquer finishes throughout, modern artwork, Tom Dixon pendant lights and an indoor-outdoor lounge 26 square meter terrace that overlooks the hotel's signature courtyard space.

A customizable preprogrammed lighting installation allows guests to create their own mood setting via remote control. Guests will also experience in-room Nespresso coffee machines, smart phone docking stations andnew wall mounted 46" Samsung HD TV Performance Line televisions featuring international and local channels.

To signify the official rebranding of URBN Shanghai, the property has unveiled a newly built entrance experience featuring an oversized stainless steel sculptural ball that is reflective of URBN's passion for art and design. URBN is also proud to partner with Art+, a leading art gallery in Shanghai, to display their impressive selection of works by established and emerging contemporary artists throughout the hotel and penthouses. As part of the transformation, URBN Shanghai has launched a new logo and a redesigned website that featuresa sophisticated booking experience and new information about the hotel and emphasis on local discovery.

"The redesigned and renovated URBN hotel reflects our passion in providing enriching and healthy experiences for today's discerning travellers pivoted by design, sustainability and comfort," said Aaron Griffiths, President of Hospitality Development. "Our guests will find not just a refreshed style but serious substance – that will make their stay at URBN hotel an even more restful and inspiring experience."

This October, URBN will introduce an exciting new restaurant and bar called the BeerGRDN. Occupying on the ground floor and in the lush outdoor courtyard, the new BeerGRDN will be a casual dining and social venue, perfect for groups, sharing and celebrations. The bistro-style menu focuses on Italian and American flavors with a contemporary twist, while offering Shanghai's most comprehensive beer list. The BeerGRDN will be a vibrant destination, keeping the URBN experience fresh and innovative for its guests and the local dining community.
